And with extremely low emissions, at just 0.8g, it is an extremely clean burning unit. This is greatly aided by the 70% efficiency, which means you’ll burn a lot less wood than you would with other heaters of its class. Charnwood Bay BX

Designed with the discerning buyer in mind, the Charnwood Bay BX is a stunning Linea wood heater, with a large viewing glass perfect for getting a good look at your fire. And with a variety of base options available, you can really set the Bay BX to look exactly how you want within your home.

This little fire packs out a lot of heat for its size, up to 120m². This heat is stunning, but it’s also efficient. With an efficiency at 68%, you’re going to burn less wood than the average wood heater in its class. When it comes to emissions, the Bay BX is extremely clean, as low as 0.8g. This means the Bay BX is perfect for those wanting a clean burning heater to minimize their carbon footprint. And being made in the United Kingdom from high quality British steel, you know this unit is going to be nothing but quality.

What truly sets the Bay BX apart from other wood heaters, especially other Linea wood heaters, is the number of base options available. The first is the pedestal, which raises the Bay BX off the ground. The second is the Wood stand, which has a space for wood to be stored underneath the heater. And finally, the bench, lower than the wood stand but with space to the side of the heater, perfect for storing some more wood, kindling or your tools. Alternatively, you can have the Bay BX standalone on a concrete bench. This variety gives you complete control over how your wood heater looks in your room.

In an air-tight home, your wood heater would normally struggle to breathe, as it cannot get enough oxygen to feed the fire. This is where the Outside Air Intake comes in, bringing in fresh air from the outside into your fire, keeping well oxidized without bringing in air from the room.

With its numerous display options, stunning Linea design and generous heat output, the Bay BX is one stand out heater, perfect for a brand-new modern home looking for a clean heating source.

Charnwood Island II

There’s something nice about a traditional looking fireplace, and that’s a quality the Charnwood Island II has in spades. British made from the Isle of Wight, the most impressive thing about this heater is its impressive, cast-iron double doors, holding back the flames of this fantastic heater, while still giving you an incredible view.

Behind its gorgeous double glass doors lays a heater that is packed full of features. At the bottom of your firebox lies a cast iron riddle grate. This riddle grate, when moved, allows the ash accumulated in your firebox to fall into the dual ash pans below, which can then be emptied. The Island II also has a cool to touch air control, with notches in it to allow you to regulate the temperature of your fire. But it’s the top of this heater that is truly special. With a 10mm cooktop, you can simmer a soup or boil a kettle without issue. And there is also a hidden ability here, with the option to rear flue out of the back of this heater. This allows you to have more cooktop space, or to have a modern look, or to avoid fluing through the ceiling, or all at the same time. This flexibility makes the Charnwood Island II truly stand out.

The Island II is a truly unique heater, stunning in its elegance and ability to heat your room. It has the capacity to heat up to 150m², so it’s a perfect mid-sized wood heater for any living room, den, or rumpus room. The cool to touch handle, attached to the right-hand door, locks the doors together in the centre, with the thick door seal keeping the air in the heater, ensuring there is no leaking from between the doors. What helps the Island II set itself apart is just how much care has been taken in crafting this heater. Handmade in the United Kingdom, the Island II has had every detail thought through and it comes together in a brilliant heater which combines the best of modern and old-style heating.

Charnwood Island III

The big brother to the Island II, and the largest heater in the Charnwood range, the Island III is a large wood heater designed to perform. British made from the Isle of Wight, the Island III is built with two heavy-set cast-iron doors, a 10mm thick steel cooktop and stunning radiant steel sides.

With a heating capacity of 180m², the Island III is a fantastic medium sized wood heater. The beautiful heat emanates from the heater through three main places. The radiant sides of the Island III help the heat expand into the room, ensuring you get even heat throughout the room, not just directly in front of the heater. The two cast-iron doors with their large viewing glass house the flames, and the cool-to-touch handle also acts as a lock, with a thick rope seal preventing any air from slipping through the crack. Heat also passes through the 10mm steel cooktop, allowing you to boil a kettle or simmer a pot on top of your fire.

Inside the firebox is where the magic of the Island III truly shines. The riddle grate is made of sixteen cast iron fingers, and sits at the bottom of the firebox, allowing you to release the built up ash in your firebox into the ash pans below. These ash pans are easy to remove and make cleaning your wood heater an absolute breeze. Below the firebox is a simple notched, cool-to-touch air control which allows you complete control over the intensity of your fire. Back up to the top of the unit, the Island III has the option for top or rear flue, giving you more control over how your unit looks, is installed and how much space is available on the cooktop.

Keeping your home warm is of paramount importance, and the Charnwood Island III utterly succeeds in this goal, while also looking amazing. And with its beautiful cast-iron construction and solid vermiculite bricks, the quality of this wood heater is unparalleled.
